We report a novel compact surface plasmon resonance (SPR) sensor capable of simultaneous detection of up to 10 analytes. The sensor is based on angular interrogation of the SPR on a diffraction grating. Prototype of the sensor was characterized in a refractometric experiment and its resolution was 6x10 7 RIU. Limit of detection of short oligonucleotides was below 1nM concentration. Sensor also detected milk samples spiked with 103 cfu/ml and 104 cfu/ml of E. coli and S. Aureus, respectively.
