Stať je věnována analýze literárního textu (Miloš Urban, Stín katedrály), v němž je zpodobení spontánní mluvenosti s její nespisovností konfrontováno s reprezentací knižnosti s její kultivovanou spisovností. Zaměřuji se na literární stylizaci mluvenosti v řeči postavy a ukazuji progresivní tendence, které se v uměleckém zpodobení autentické mluvenosti prosazují.

The paper is devoted to the analysis of a literary text (Miloš Urban, The Shadow of Cathedral), in which the rendering of spontaneous spoken language (with its non-standard character) is placed in opposition to a representation of bookish language (with its cultivated standard character). I focus on the literary stylization of spoken language in the speech of the character, and demonstrate the progressive tendencies being established in the literary rendering of authentic spoken language.
