As in the previous workshops held under the same name in the Liblice Castle in 1978, 1983 and 1988, in the Třešť Castle in 1995, in the Zahrádky Castle in 2000, and in the Hrubá Skála Castle in 2005, also this one mainly dealt with theoretical and computational aspects of seismic wave propagation in complex structures, and with applications involving these aspects in seismology and seismic exploration.The main topics of the workshop were both forward and inverse modelling of seismic wave fields in laterally inhomogeneous, isotropic and anisotropic, elastic and anelastic structures. The workshop was divided into several oral and poster sessions.
