The geobiocoenological typology of the Vrapac NNR was carried out in the sense of the Prof. A. Zlatnik´s geobiocoenological system (Zlatnik 1976) adapted for the Czech Republic by A. Bucek and J. Lacina (Bucek et Lacina 1999). The flood-plain forests in the Litovelske Pomoravi PLA have – comparing to flood-plain forests in more southern parts of the alluvium of the Moravia River – a range of important specifics.

Geobiocenologická typizace NPR Vrapač byla provedena v e smyslu geobiocenologického systému prof. A. Zlatníka (Zlatník 1976), upraveného pro podmínky České republiky A. Bučkem a J. Lacinou (Buček, Lacina 1999). Lužní lesy v CHKO Litovelské Pomoraví srovnávané s jižněji položenými nížinnými lesy, které doprovázejí řeku Moravu mají řadu zajímavých specifik.
