This paper investigates consequences of patriotism, nationalism and internationalism in different areas of the academic life in the Czech Lands, especially in history as important part of the humanities. In the last third of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century the relation between the German and Czech production of the Czech historians markedly changed. Although publications in German and other European languages never fully dissappeared from the Czech historians´ bibliographies, their function changed in the last third of the 19th century and at the beginning of 20th century quite substantially.

Tento referát zkoumá vzájemný vztah patriotismu, nacionalismu a internacionalismu v různých oblastech akademického života v českých zemích, a to zvláště v oboru historiografie jakožto významné součásti humanitních disciplín. V poslední třetině 19. a první polovině 20. století se poměr mezi českou a německou produkcí u českých historiků výrazně proměnil. Jakkoli publikace v němčině a v dalších evropských jazycích nikdy plně nezmizely z bibliografií českých historiků, jejich funkce se v této době dosti podstatně proměnila.
