Recenze na publikaci editovanou Christinou Klenner a Simone Lieber, která obsahuje texty zpracovávající a srovnávající vývoj a současnou situaci tzv. nových členských zemí EU - konkrétně Polska, Česka, Slovinska, Maďarska a Bulharska - vzhledem ke státům západoevropským, jejich sociálním politikám a vymezení vůči konceptu sociálního státu. Autorky a autoři jednotlivých článků se zabývají vedle diskusí oblastí porodnosti a bezdětnosti, rodinných příspěvků, nebo dvoupříjmového modelu rodiny především tématem analýzy dopadu státních sociálních politik na genderovou strukturu těchto post-komunistických zemí.

This text is review on book edited by Christina Klenner and Simone Lieber that contains analytical and comparative texts on current state and evolution of social politics in so called new EU-member countries - mainly Poland, Czech Rep., East Germany, Slovenia, Hungary and Bulgaria. The comparison is following axis of east and west European countries and crucially relation of current evolution to the concept of welfare state. Authors are, beside birth rates and childlessness, family allowances or bread-winner family model, concerned with the impact of state politics on gender structure of the former communist countries.
