Phytoplasmas have been found to be associated with two diseases in Ribes sp., the severe Russian (R) form of the blackcurrant reversion disease (BCRD) in black currants and the Full blossom disease (FBD) in red and white currants. Flower malformation are the most typical symptoms in both the diseases
