The definition of the Pragian Stage in the Prague Synform (PS) was originally intended to correspond with the complete succession of consistent and well lithologically and biostratigraphically bounded Praha Formation. (The only exception is a truncation of skeletal accumulation of the Koněprusy limestones, SW segment, where at least half of the Pragian is missing. The most promising marker for the lower Emsian boundary in PS is Icriodus bilatericrescens gracilis, in the uppermost part of the Praha Fm. It appears close below the "graptolite event" (Hladil & Kalvoda 1997), within the range of Po. excavatus and Turkestanella (Nowakia) acuaria, together with Guerichina sp. ex gr. strangulata (Slavik 2004). The corresponding position of the "graptolite event" in Zinzilban might thus be within the interval from 114 and 134 m above the present GSSP.
