Dvoudenní konference mapovala vztah J. Slavíka k ruské problematice, např. jeho pohled na fenomén revoluce, jeho vztah k filozofii dějin či jeho vztah ke zkoumání ruské emigrace. Celkem zaznělo 16 příspěvků a konference byla spojena s výstavou Jan Slavík a Rusko. Pořádajícími institucemi byli Slovanská knihovna při Národní knihovně ČR, Slovanský ústav AV ČR a Masarykův ústav a Archiv AV ČR.

A two-day conference mapped J. Slavík's relationship to Russian problems; so e.g. his view of the phenomenon of revolution, his relationship to the philosophy of history or his relation to the research into Russian emigration. Altogether, 16 contributions were presented and the conference was combined with the exhibition called "Jan Slavík and Russia". The organising institutions included the Slavonic Library affiliated with the National Library of the Czech Rep., the Institute of Slavonic Studies of the Acad. Sci. of the Czech Rep., and Masaryk Institute and Archives of the Acad. Sci. of the Czech Republic.
