The paper contains the results of the stress and reliability analyses of the ceramic head of the total hip joint endoprosthesis under testing conditions in accordance with the norm ISO 7206-5. The axisymmetric production inaccuracies of the contact ta** of the head and the stem are considered. The effects of the production inaccuracies on the head's hoop stress and the head's contact pressure along the contact taper are analyzed in detail.
