This paper briefly describes the potential of the reliabilityassessment method SBRA from the viewpoint of durability of steelstructures. A fully probabilistic approach is demonstrated in twoexamples: (a) a steel component exposed to time-dependent effectsof corrosion, and (b) accumulation of fatigue damage.
