The reactivity of brown coal during fluidized bed combustion and the composition of the emissions were studied. Coal from the Centrum mine and Vršany open pit mine in the North-Bohemian basin was characteruzed by its chemical, petrographic and mineralogical composition, ash composition and trace elements present.
