In principle the sensibility of spectrometry and tomography in the branch of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) is very small. The phenomenon of nuclear magnetic resonance is based on the oscillation of atomic nuclei of some substances in a strong magnetic field. Practically all the atomic nuclei can be considered elementary magnets rotating around their axes. The asymmetrical lay-out of the nucleus charge and the spin gives rise to the magnetic moment of the nucleus. From the macroscopic viewpoint, the macroscopic magnetic moment of the substance being measured is given by the vector sum of magnetic moments of all the nuclei. In the absence of an external magnetic field the nuclei in the substances are oriented differently and the magnetisation vector is zero. If there is a strong external stationary homogeneous magnetic field acting on the nuclei, the magnetisation vectors become oriented in the direction of the induction of this field.
