The estimation of the relationship between variables may be based on correlation coefficient or on confidence ellipse. The scatter plot with confidence ellipses gives fast and comprehensive overview about properties of analysed variables. The ratio of ellipses axis may be used as numerical parameter to express the strength of association between variables. The analysed correlation depends significantly on measurement reproducibility.
