Recenze seznamuje s koncepcí a obsahem monumentální výstavy v Darmstadtu na přelomu let 2001-2002, připomínající syntetickým způsobem hnutí tzv. reformy života z přelomu 19. a 20. století a zahrnující sféry od umění, filosofie, náboženství a vědy až po kulturu každodennosti, hygienu, stravování apod. V recenzi je zvláště oceněno obsahové a metodologické zpracování dvousvazkového katalogu, představujícího dnes již standardní encyklopedické dílo ke kulturním dějinám po období asi 1880-1930.

Review acquaints the reader with the concept and contents of the monumental exhibition in Darmstadt at the break of 2001-2002, which acted as a synthetic reminder of the movement caller reforms of life from the turn of the 20th century, and included the spheres of art, philosophy, religion, science as well as day-to-day culture, hygiene, mealtaking etc. Review wespecially appraises the contents of the two-volume catalogue and its methodological treatment. Today, this catalogue already represents a standard encyclopedic work with respect to cultural history for the period of approximately 1880-1930.
