The paper offers an algorithm for modelling the induction heating and consequent hardening of a circular saw manufactured from ferromagnetic steel. The basic model consists of two non-linear second-order partial differential equations describing the distribution of the electromagnetic and temperature fields and partially respects the temperature dependencies of all material parameters.
