A neuropeptide leucopyrokinin (LPK) (pQTSFTPRLamide) accelerates pupariation in .I.Sarcophaga bullata./I. if applied less than 4h before pupariation. LPK accelerates the switch from wandering to immobilisation/retraction behaviour but has no effect on the timimg of motor patterns of puparial contraction. It stimulates the integument to contract and shrink.
