A cDNA was cloned which encodes a novel transmembrane adapter protein PAG. This molecule functions as an adapter mediating association of a key enzyme Csk regulating the activity of Src-family kinases. PAG may be of key importance in regulation of cell growth and immunoreceptor signaling.
