V této druhé části je ukázáno, jak se rozdíly ve struktuře projeví na mechanických vlastnostech a životnosti polyetylénových trubek.

This second part of an instructive contribution is devoted to the mechanical behaviour and durability of polyethylene pipes. The interrelations between structural levels of individual types of polyethylene, on one hand, and macroscopic pipe properties, on the other, are discussed. A dependable durability prediction must be based on realistic laboratory tests simulating failure mechanism under service conditions.
