Differential scanning calorimetry was used to characterize crystalline structure of injection moulded and subsequently drawn specimens of isotactic polypropylene. The presence of the crystalline beta-phase in the vicinity of the specimen gate and gradients of the alpha-phase perfection across and along the specimens could be thus established.
