A strong denpendence of the Youngs' moduli of thermal sprayed ceramics on pressure due to elastic closure of microcraks is predicted.At pressures of the order of hundreds MPa, i.e. at eleastic contractions under 1%, the low Young'moduli of sprayed ceramics should increase to high values, close to those foe well sintered porous ceramics.
