The paper presents a theoretical model of arc column stabilized by a liquid vortex.The model is based on a solution a solution of equations describing transfer of mass, momentum and energy betwee conducting arc core, vapor sheath created due to evaporation of stabilizing liquid wall,inner surface of liquid vortex and liquid in the vortex.Radiation energy transfer is described by empirical termswith coeficients representing absorption of radiation in.
