A survey of results about existence of solutions to unilateral dynamic contact problems for viscoelastic bodies with Coulomb friction is presented. An approximate unilateral contact condition formulated in displacement velocities is employed. The coeficient of friction is allowed to depend on the solution. Problems with and without heat transfer are studied.
