Paper presents the development of the public opinion in the Czech Republic in the period from 1988 to 2003. It relies on the analysis of data from regular public opinion polls conducted by the Center for public opinion of the Institute of Sociology. The development of overall satisfaction with the situation in the Czech Republic is measured, as well as the trust in constitutional institutions, assessment of the governmentŽs performance and expectations of future development.
