An exact age of world-famous Čelechovice coral beds (Devonian, Moravia) has been gradually specified using the proxies to biozonal ranges in other regions of Europe, Africa and Asia. The recent assessment of the stratigraphic age based on conodonts, trilobites and corals suggested, that possible position must be close to the Eifelian/ Givetian boundary. The present magnetosusceptibility stratigraphy data provided a high-resolution correlation, where the coral beds are 5m below the Ei/Gi boundary. Compared sections are Jbel Mech Irdane and Jbel Amelane, both in Morocco, Pic de Bissous, in France, and U Dubu sedmi bratří, in Bohemia. According to a distinctively oscillating pattern, a new MS-zone Kosíř was introduced (directly under the Gheris Zone). This Kosíř Zone likely spans the upper and lower parts of ideal biozonal packets relating to the Tortodus australis and T. kockelianus zones, respectively.
