Ultrastructure of regenerated muscle spindles was studied in intra-muscularly grafied EDL muscle in rats. It is cocluded that intrafusalsatellite cells can change their predetermination and expressphenoype typical for extrafusal fibres, if they are innervated byalpha motor instead of sensory axons.
