This volume comprises the core of the results of the project Conceptual representation in information society. The articles included in the volume approach this extensive topic from the point of view of logic and its applications. The volume is divided into four sections. The first section includes the articles dealing with formal logical theories of the notion of concept and philosophical problems of conceptual modelling. The second section is focused on the selected problems of the logical analysis of natural language. The third section is devoted to concept representation in database modelling and the last section deals with systems of concepts within a modal and probabilistic frameworks.
