Dynamics of Norway spruce forests in the Šumava Mts., SW Bohemia, analysed and synthetised according to Braun-Blanquet (1964), was studied by means of phytosociological relevés repeatedly recorded after 5 and 22 or 27 years, respectively, in the stands of the Calamagrostio villosae-Piceetum, Mastigobryo-Piceetum and Sphagno-Piceetum.
