The determination of surface free energy of a solid is of a great importance in a wide range of problems in applied science. Because of the difficulties to measure directly the surface free energy of a solid phase, indirect approaches have been used. Among the indirect methods used for estimation of the surface free energy of the solids, the contact angle measurements are believed to be the simplest. In this book different approaches to the surface free energy evaluation are discussed

Určení volné povrchové energie pevných látek hraje důležitou roli v řadě aplikací. Vzhledem k obtížnosti přímého měření u pevných látek se používají metody nepřímé.
