Analyses of 60 females from the lower section of Dyje have shown identity of meristic characters with those found in the initial invasive population, whereas certain differences have been found in plastic characters , the most distinct relating to body height (+3,27%). Growth in lenght is markedly affected by habitat character. C. auratus showed the fastest growth in fishponds and water reservoirs. Studies were made of male and female C. auratus showing different ploidy, coming from a natural population. Triploid females showed significantly higher growth length (standard length) than did diploid ones. Similar tendencies were observed in males. No difference was found between the growth in length of males and females showing the same ploidy.

Analýzy 60 samic z dolního úseku Dyje vykázaly identitu meristických znaků se znaky jedinců z počátku jejich invaze do vod ČR (1976). Určité rozdíly byly zjištěny v plastických znacích, nejvýznamnější u výšky těla, která byla vyšší (+ 3,27 %). Délkový růst je značně ovlivněn charakterem biotopu. C. auratus nejrychleji rostl v rybnících a ve vodních nádržích. Triploidní samice vykazovaly průkazně vyšší délkový růst (délka těla) než diploidní samice. Podobné tendence byly pozorovány u samců. Žádný rozdíl v růstu nebyl zjištěn u samců a samic shodné ploidie.
