Estrogenic and antiestrogenic activities of compounds were determined on the basis of evaluation of mammary, uterine, seminal vesicles and spleen growth responses in young intact and adult gonadectomized male and female mice (four - model system). Antiestrogen 4-OH-tamoxifen possess mixed estrogenic and antiestrogenic activities depending on sex, the state of animal (intact or gonadectomized), hormonal treatment and dose of TAM. The effects of nonsteroidal synthetic estrogen diethylstilbestrol were estradiol-like in all tissues. Fytoestrogen genistein had estradiol-like effects in mammary gland and uterus.

Estrogenní a antiestrogenní aktivity látek byly stanoveny hodnocením stimulace a inhibice růstu mléčné žlázy, dělohy, semenných váčků a sleziny u mladých intaktních a dospělých gonadektomovaných myší obou pohlaví (čtyřmodelový systém). Antiestrogen 4-OH-tamoxifen (TAM) vykazoval smíšené estrogenní a antiestrogenní aktivity v závislosti na pohlaví, stavu zvířete (intaktní, gonadektomované), hormonálním ošetřením a dávce TAM. Účinek nesteroidního syntetického estrogenu diethylstilbestrolu se ve všech tkáních podobal účinku estradiolu. Fytoestrogen genistein vykazoval estradiolu podobné účinky v mléčné žláze a děloze.
