The new method for testing the nature of the remanent magnetization has been developed by Kletetschka et al. (2005). We applied this method on terrestrial samples (precambrian diabase from Arizona) and on three chondritic meteorites (Avanhandava H4, Bjurböle L4 and Neuschwanstein EL6). The method can serve as fast tool to determine the nature and origin of the magnetic record of the extraterrestrial and terrestrial materials and has potential application in the paleointensity studies.
