Arguments, polemics and debates in the Czech scientific communities in the 19th and turn of the of the 19th and 20th centuries influenced in versatile way the styl of scientific research. For instance, the concerned assertment of provincial scientifists into scientific research; controversies between generations represented by the Prague University and Museum schools; or principles of scientific cognition.

V průběhu 19. stol. a na počátku 20. století se ve vědeckých komunitách v českých zemích odehrávaly spory, debaty a polemiky, které všestranně ovlivnily styl vědecké práce na několika úrovních. Šlo kupř. o zapojení provinciálních badatelů do vědecké práce, o generační spory reprezentované pražskou muzejní a univerzitní školou nebo o principy vědeckého poznání.
