The International Networking for Young Scientists Event with Jenny Simanowitz was aimed at networking young researchers and establishing contacts among early stage researchers. The one-day symposium Gender and Science: Women Making a Difference? had a double goal of examining theoretical critical approaches to knowledge production from a gender perspective as well as the introduction of concrete support projects and programmes for women in science in Europe. Both events were organised by the British Council in Austria with the Federal Ministry for Education, Research and Culture and the governmental programme fForte.

Mezinárodní setkání zaměřené na networking mladých vědkyň (International Networking for Young Scientists Event with Jenny Simanowitz) bylo určeno k prosíťování a navázání kontaktů mezi mladými vědkyněmi. Jednodenní sympozium Gender and Science: Women Making Difference? se věnovalo jak teoretickým kritickým přístupům k produkci znalosti z genderového hlediska, tak představení konkrétních podpůrných projektů a programů pro ženy ve vědě v Evropě. Obě setkání organizovala Britská rada ve Vídni spolu se Spolkovým ministerstvem pro vzdělání, vědu a kulturu a vládním programem fForte.
