Cílem tohoto příspěvku je informovat o současných poznatcích, které byly získány o struktuře a polymodální funkci vaniloidního receptoru TRPV1, a naznačit cesty dalšího výzkumu v oblasti studia mechanizmů nocicepce na buněčné a molekulární úrovni

The aim of this article was to give an overview of the current status of research into the TRPV1 receptor and summarize the structural information of this channel as seen from a rich complexity of the functional states and conformational transitions the protein undergoes in response to the noxious and, under some pathological conditions, normally sub-noxious stimuli
