The measurements of the mass of ice accumulated on the sensor surface were performed in the considered area. Observation site was located at the meteorological station situated on the top of Milešovka Mountain (837 m a.s.l.). First, we describe briefly the measuring device and give its basic specifications. Then we present the data observed during three winters 2002/03-2004/05, and analyse the most severe episodes of icing. Especially, we focus on the episode of the winter 2002/2003, when the severe icing broke down a number of meteorological masts in the area. We also test a simple relation between ice growth and wind speed. Finally, we describe the weather situations occurring during the observed icing events.

Automatické pozorování množství námrazy akumulovaného na povrchu čidla bylo prováděno na profesionální meteorologické stanici Milešovka (837 m n.m.). Nejprve je stručně popsán použitý přístroj a jeho základní parametry. Poté jsou prezentována pozorování ze tří zimních období 2002/3-2004/5 spolu s analýzou nejvýznamnějších epizod námrazy. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována události z roku 2002/03, kdy silná námraza zlomila množství stožárů v oblasti Krušných hor. Testován je i jednoduchý vztah mezi růstem námrazy a rychlostí větru. Nakonec jsou popsány povětrnostní situace spojené s pozorovanými nárazovými událostmi.
