Im Rahmen der Erforschung der Erinnerungskultur als Sammelbegriff für die Gesamtheit des nicht spezifisch wissenschaftlichen Umgangs mit Geschichte in der Öffentlichkeit analysieren die Autorinnen die Aushandlung der problematischen/problembeladenen Geschichte in den zwei ausgewählten Städten nach 1989. Untersucht werden Strategien verschiedener Akteur/innen in diesen Städten und Narrative, die in offiziellen Publikationen und bei offiziellen Veranstaltungen anlässlich der historischen Ereignisse vermittelt werden. Durch den Vergleich von Komotau und Brünn zeigt der Beitrag Parallelen und Unterschiede im Umgang mit diesem Thema und trägt so zum besseren Verständnis verschiedener Wege der Erinnerungskultur bei. Překlad anotace The study deals with ways of memory culture / culture of remembrance in Chomutov and Brno, two towns connected with violent forced displacement of German speaking inhabitants after the end of World War II. The authors deal with this topic in the period after 1989 and focus on analysis of strategies of different actors in this towns and narratives used during official events and in official publications that thematise this historical event. They compare situation in Brno and Chomutov and show parallels and differences in public dealing with this problematic topic. In this way the study contributes to better understanding of different ways of memory culture/culture of remembrance.
