We consider truncation and indirect incremental methods of limit analysis which can be interpreted as penalization techniques. Further, convergence for higher order finite elements is shown. The efficiency of the proposed approaches is illustrated on numerical experiments with the von Mises and Drucker–Prager yield criteria.
