    AnnotationIonic liquid polymeric gel membranes containing from ionic liquid 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide in poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene) were prepared by solvent casting from a solution in acetone. The membranes were characterized using swelling measurements, differential scanning calorimetry, tensile properties determination, X-ray studies and gas permeation measurements. The effect of the ionic liquid on the performance and properties of the membranes was discussed and compared with the neat polymer.
