The attention focuses on the emissions of harmful gases, on the emissions of unburnt carbon in the elutriated fines, and on the assessment of the inventory of fly and bottom ashes. A full picture concerning the influence of main operation conditions (i. e., bed temperature, freeboard temperature, and excess air) on CO, NOx and N2O has been explored in detail.
