Description in English The purpose of this paper was to present basic forms of fibrous nanoparticles and the methodologies for their preparation. Particularly nanofibers in the form of threads, as flat-surface structures or as 3D wadding were discussed. The most common methods for their preparation are electrospinning, meltblowing, drawing, template synthesis and phase separation, among which only those two firstmentioned in the series might be referred to as technologically used in currently available operations. Special attention was paid to the introduction of biocompatible and biodegradable nanofibers. These properties are understood as essential regarding the frequently discussed toxicology aspects of the wider use of various nanostructured forms.
