AnnotationFor our research we chose fish as significant bioindicator of the quality of artificial wetlands. We focused on three different artificial lakes located in the Morava River catchment. In the studied wetlands, the species richness varied from 9 to 16 fish species including some rare ones, such as Leucaspius delineatus (Heckel 1843), Rhodeus sericeus (Pallas 1776) or Gymnocephalus cernuus (L.). In two of the wetlands we found abundant populations of Abramis ballerus (L.), which is considered to be an indicator of good quality of the artificial wetland.
