Moderná taiwanská literatúra, pre svoju kompaktnosť, predstavuje vhodný príklad pre štúdium procesov konsolidácie literárneho poľa v diachrónnej perspektíve. Medzi tieto procesy patrí napríklad stanovovanie vnútorných princípov, podľa ktorých sa synchrónne určovalo, aké diela budú akceptované ako literatúra, ale patrí sem i otázka, kto tieto princípy určuje. Ďalej sem možno zaradiť parametre stanovujúce, kto sa môže stať spisovateľom či spisovateľkou a aké k tomu potrebuje predpoklady (habitus). Z diachrónneho pohľadu potom možno porovnávať súdobé vnútorné princípy s neskoršími kanonizačným, ktoré z pozície literárnej autority určili štandardy a (na nejakú dobu) ukončili vyjednávanie vzájomných pozícií literárnych diel a ich autorov v rámci literárneho poľa. Vychádzajúc z teórie Pierra Bourdieu o literárnom poli prednáška poukáže na možnosti rekonštruovať synchrónne vnútorné princípy literárneho poľa so zameraním na dva aspekty: definície literatúry a predovšetkým habitus spisovateľov. Ten bude skúmaný ako proces vyjednávania pozície a vytvárania modelu spisovateľa vo vzťahu k otázke profesionalizácie literatúry, tj. čo robí spisovateľa spisovateľom. Zameria sa na otázky vzdelania, zamestnania, členstva v skupinách a získanie literárnych cien. Využije k tomu dva dátové súbory, ktoré boli kompilované Národným múzeum taiwanskej literatúry: i) databáza literárnych časopisov (台灣文學期刊目錄), ii) biografická databáza spisovateľov (台灣作家作品目錄). Dátové súbory obsahujú informácie o 33 029 publikáciách a o 2 330 spisovateľoch narodených v časovom rozmedzí od 70. rokov 19. storočia až do 90. rokov 20. storočia.


Modern Taiwanese literature, due to its compactness, represents a suitable example for studying the processes of consolidation of the literary field in a diachronic perspective. These processes include, for example, the establishment of internal principles which synchronously determined which works would be accepted as literature. This process is closely linked to the question of who approved these principles. One may also include parameters of predispositions (habitus) determining who can become a writer. From a diachronic point of view, the co-temporary internal principles can then be compared with the later canonization principles, which, from the position of literary authority, determined the standards and (for some time) ended the negotiation of the mutual positions of literary works and their authors within the literary field. Based on Pierre Bourdieu's theory of the literary field, the presentation will point out the possibilities of reconstructing the synchronous internal principles of the literary field, focusing on two aspects: definitions of literature and, above all, the habitus of writers. The latter will be examined as a process of negotiating the position and creating a diachronic model of the writer in relation to the issue of the professionalization of literature, i.e. what makes a writer a writer. It will focus on issues of education, employment, membership in groups and winning literary prizes. It will use two data sets compiled by the National Museum of Taiwan Literature: i) the database of literary magazines (台灣文學期刊目錄), ii) the biographical database of writers (台灣作宇作品目錄). The datasets contain information on 33,029 publications and 2,330 writers born between the 1870s and the 1990s.
