Autor se na základě archivních výzkumů a dochovaných vzpomínek ve své studii zabývá problematikou oficiálních cest politických elit do zahraničí. Pozornost je věnována zejména procesům schvalování cest, dále pak jejich mechanismům jejich organizace, a vlastní praxi (včetně přidělování diet, reprezentačních výdajů a oficiálních darů), a také realizací dopravních a bezpečnostních opatření.

On the base of archival materials and available memoirs, the author is concerned with the topic of abroad trips of political elites from Czechoslovakia during the Cold War Era after 1945 till 1989. The attetion is aimed to exploration of various topics like a proces of appproving nad evaluation, an organisation frames and an everyday praxis (including the spending of travel costs, official gift giving) and also to the realisation of transport and a dealing with the security issues.
