Příspěvek zdůrazňuje nutnost neustále věnovat pozornost základní charakterizaci materiálových vlastností polymerních kompozitů, jejich degradačním mechanismům a reakcím na stárnutí. Jsou uvedeny základní degradační mechanismy, akcelerované metody modelování vlivu vnějších i vnitřních faktorů na životnost a možné metody testování konstrukcí.

The contribution emphasizes a necessity to constantly devote an attention to basic characterization of material properties of polymer composites, their degradation mechanisms and reactions to ageing. There are stated basic degradation mechanisms, accelerated methods of modelling of both outer and inner influences on their life-time and possible methods of composite constructions testing.
