Oxyphototropic community on hydroterrestrial and freshwater environment, Petuniabukta, Svalbard. Hydroterrestrial and aquatic environments have key role in polar en vironments. These biotopes are ecologically unstable with very quick changes of environmental conditions. Therefore cyanobacteria and algae living in such types of biotops must have been adapted on it. We studied the diversity and abundance of cyanobacteri a and algae from 7 samples in Petuniabukta (Arctic archipelago Svalbard) originating from different environments (stream, lake, polar meadow). Totally we identified 48 taxa of cyanobacteria and algae and our work shows, that diversity of oxyphototrophs in the streams is lower than diversity in the lakes and polar meadows. This can be caused by their lower stability and lower circulation of nutrients. This type of environments are less stable then lakes and polar meadows and organisms have less stable condit ion for their growth also there.
