The paper describes youngest proved surface faulting in central Europe displacing and deforming Holocene deposits of the age interval 5.3 - 1.1 ka BP within the Mariánské Lázně Fault (MLF) zone in the western Bohemian Massif, which was revealed by paleoseismic trenching.
