Specialized computer programs for semiautomatic classification of muscle fibre types based on different staining of consecutive physical sections of muscle tissue is presented. An elastic registration algorithm is applied to warp the images to line-up corresponding control points determined by user. The mean luminance of the area outlined by the fibre contour is employed for the thresholds setting and the subsequent classification of the muscle fibre types. An instant visual feedback provides the user comprehensive information and the insight in the process of classification during the run of program. An exhaustive outline of the resulting classification in the form of MS Excel file is made available to the user. Described software is thoroughly tested on real-world data

Jsou popsány specializované programy pro poloautomatickou klasifikaci typů svalových vláken na základě různého barvení následných fyzických řezů svalovou tkání. Pro výslednou úpravu obrazů se používá algoritmus elastické registrace, který využívá sady kontrolních bodů zadaných uživatelem. Průměrná densita plochy ohraničené obrysem svalového vlákna je použita pro nastavení prahu a následnou klasifikaci typu vlákna. Bezprostřední vizuální odezva poskytuje uživateli zevrubné informace a vhled do průběhu klasifikace při běhu programu. Podrobný přehled výsledků klasifikace je uživateli zpřístupněn ve formě Excelovské tabulky. Použití programů je zevrubně otestováno na reálných datech
