    In this paper, we have shown that particle size plays an important role in nanocrystalline Tio2-based photocatalysts. Photocatalytic properties of tio2 nanoparticles such photoreduction CO2 were investigated in terms of the particle size. As the particle size decreased higher yields over the Tio2 nanoparticles under the illumination of the light were obtained. The optimum particle size is 14.1 nm in all cases. For crystal sizes smaller than 14.1 nm is catalyst activity drop may be due to changes in structural and electronuic properties of the nanometer crystal.

    Byla prokázána vzájemná korelace mezi velikostí nanokrystalitů TiO2 a jeho fotoaktivitou. Nejlepší aktivity katalyzátoru při fotoredukci CO2 bylo dosaženo za použití krystalitů o velikosti 14.1nm. Pro krystality menší než 14.1nm aktivita poklesla v důsledku změn ve struktuře krystalů.
