The nematode Cucullanus maldivensis sp. n. (Cucullanidae) is described from the intestine of a lutjanid fish Macolor niger from off the Maldive Islands. It differs from the most similar species C. bourdini mainly in protruding vulval lips, the location of the first pair of preanal papillae, and having distinctly larger eggs. Additionally, adult females of the nematodes Procamallanus (Spirocamallanus) sp. and Camallanus sp. from Aprion virescens (Lutjanidae) and Elegatis bipinnulata (Carangidae), respectively, were recorded, which are also described and illustrated.

Je popsána hlístice Cucullanus maldivensis sp. n. (Cucullanidae) ze střeva mořské ryby Macolor niger (Lutjanidae) od ostrovů Maledivy. Od nejpodobnějšího druhu C. bourdini se tento liší hlavně zřetelně vystupujícími vulválními pysky, lokalizací prvního páru preanálních papil a zřetelně většími vajíčky. Kromě toho byly zaznamenány dospělé samice hlístic Procamallanus (Spirocamallanus) sp. a Camallanus sp. v rybách Aprion virescens (Lutjanidae) a Elegatis bipinnulata (Carangidae), které jsou rovněž popsány a vyobrazeny.
